New Price Guides!

I am pleased to announce that Matthew Walton Photography is expanding its product line! With that comes the need to rearrange and reassess. I have finished the Senior Class of 2011 guide and am currently working to finish the Family/Children’s Guide. You can find the guides in the Investment tab. I hope to soon have examples of the products here on the blog. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through the form!

Southern Belle Invitational Futurity

This past weekend, my day job led me to taking video of the Southern Belle Invitation Futurity. I don’t know what a Futurity is, but I do know that there were many great looking horses with many skilled riders. My main job was to man the transferring of the video to the hard drives, so I found myself with a little down time to take pictures. This was a “pleasure riding” event, which didn’t give several photographic opportunities in the arena; however, behind the scenes was a different story. This is a small glimpse of what was going on in the stables and warm up areas. Thanks for looking!

Textures – Futrell Hardware

My family has owned Futrell Hardware in Pocahontas, AR since the 1930s. I’ve spent many days there including working a full summer in the non-air-conditioned building. One thing that I love about “the Store” is the abundance of textures found around the place. Throughout the summer I will be documenting this family treasure and displaying the textures and other interesting facets on the blog.

If you like this, check out David Jackson’s “Simple+Dirty” series at http://www.davidejackson.com/simpledirty. It is a very impressive work.

Little Rock Footbridge

My wife and I are in Little Rock tonight to video a conference in the morning. Of course, when you are staying downtown, if there is decent weather at all you have to take a stroll down the Riverwalk. So, naturally I had to take my camera. After taking several photos of the skyline from the footbridge, my favorite picture of the night struck me as we were walking back toward the road. And above is the resulting picture.
